Speech Pathologist Role

This position involves providing person-centered care, working with clients and their carers to develop practical solutions for promoting independence and safety at home.

The successful candidate will have experience in delivering Speech Pathology services within community-based settings and be knowledgeable about the service system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist interventions for clients with dysphagia and complex communication disorders
  • Advise on appropriate communication aids and devices
  • Develop goals and care plans to assist consumers to remain at home and active in their local community
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) or equivalent qualification
  • Member of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) and participating in the SPA professional self-regulation program
  • Experience in managing adult clients presenting with dysphagia
