Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our finance team. This is a varied and challenging role that offers exposure to a wide range of financial operations across multiple business units.

About the Role

As a Bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of our diverse business units. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Input and process supplier invoices across multiple entities, ensuring timely approvals and compliance with internal controls.
  • Journal Entries & General Ledger: Prepare and post accurate journal entries, maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Reconciliations: Perform bank, credit card, and intercompany reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Support the preparation of financial reports and documentation for audits, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Project Support: Assist with ad hoc financial projects, including system upgrades, process improvements, and integration of new entities, collaborating with internal teams and external advisors on financial matters.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Completion of VCE or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (advanced skills preferred)
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 or similar accounting software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
