Job Description

As an Electrical Engineering Technician, you will conduct thorough electrical and telecommunications testing to ensure compliance with Australian and International Standards. Your duties will include assessing electrical installations and circuitry, preparing plans and diagrams, and collating data for test reports.

You will also be responsible for developing test proformas, inspecting electrical designs and circuitry, and finished products to guarantee compliance with specifications and safety regulations. Additionally, you will support projects by estimating materials costs and quantities, installing assemblies for devices/hardware metering and relays.

Collaboration with the team is crucial, as you will need to display the ability to follow instructions, processes, and procedures while working effectively under pressure. Research projects may require your input to support progress on safety, efficiency, telecommunications, and calibration test outcomes.

Effective project management skills are essential to manage client projects, including timely communication and auditing of documentation.

  • Conduct electrical and/or telecommunications testing according to Australian and International Standards.
  • Assess electrical installations and circuitry, prepare plans and diagrams.
  • Develop test proformas, inspect electrical designs and circuitry, and finished products.
