">Job Description

We are seeking an electrical engineering student to participate in our university development program. The ideal candidate will be currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering or dual-degree equivalence.

The role will involve providing foundational support in asset data management, supporting maintenance activities and contributing to project delivery and commissioning of new ITS&E assets. This includes technical support on electrical engineering aspects of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), traffic signals, road lighting, and related electrical applications.

The selected candidate will also assist in investigating and analysing engineering designs and projects, applying relevant legislation, standards, and electrical engineering principles. They will contribute to the planning and design of ITS, electrical, and special infrastructure projects to support delivery within scope, time, cost, and quality expectations.

In addition, they will prepare technical reports, respond to public and ministerial enquiries and provide clear written and verbal advice to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the management and maintenance of ITS&E assets.
  2. Contribute to project delivery and commissioning of new ITS&E assets.
  3. Provide technical support on electrical engineering aspects of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), traffic signals, road lighting, and related electrical applications.
  4. Investigate and analyse engineering designs and projects.
  5. Prepare technical reports and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering or dual-degree equivalence.
  • Prior experience in electrical engineering is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

This role is ideal for a student studying electrical engineering. However, we will consider current undergraduates in a related field if applicable.
