Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Maintenance Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and repair work on school buildings and grounds to ensure a safe and healthy environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, hedging, weeding, and blowing of hard surfaces.
  • Conduct minor repairs to plumbing, electrical, and other trade-related issues.
  • Perform door repairs, furniture installation, and other general maintenance duties.
  • Drive school vehicles as required.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Experience in general grounds/building maintenance is essential.
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general trade maintenance is necessary.
  • Understanding of machinery and equipment operation related to building maintenance is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents.
  • Current driver's license and own vehicle are preferred.
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check for paid employment is mandatory.
