The Role: Grounds and Maintenance Officer

Based at Macarthur Gardens in Campbelltown, this full-time role is all about helping keep our village safe, welcoming, and well-maintained. You'll work as part of a supportive, close-knit team that's committed to creating an environment where people can truly thrive.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Grounds care and upkeep: Our mowing is primarily managed by contractors. You may occasionally mow small sections (e.g. near the maintenance shed) or carry out light gardening.
  • General maintenance: Performing minor repairs and upkeep across village buildings and shared spaces.
  • Resident transport (as needed): Driving the village van only on a relief basis, when residents are unable to drive themselves.

What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in groundskeeping or maintenance, ideally in retirement living, aged care, or community settings.
  • A self-starter who can work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
  • Physically capable of performing hands-on, active work.
  • A valid driver's licence (required for occasional resident transport).
