About the Role

This leadership position oversees the strategic direction, governance, and operational excellence of a Safety Centre of Expertise.

The role ensures the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety policies, standards, and practices across an organization.

  • Lead a Centre of Excellence to service workplace safety and broader organizational goals.
  • Take accountability and lead the delivery and achievement of CoE outcomes by significantly contributing to agreed work and priorities.
  • Collaborate with a leadership team to align the strategic vision and inspire centre members with a realistic yet ambitious goal.
  • Directly shape the CoE strategy and roadmap, prioritizing, sequencing and driving the achievement of an integrated plan.
  • Define common delivery practices, frameworks, and toolsets.
  • Promote quality and consistency of practices and standards, ensuring teams adopt industry best practice tools and methodologies.
About You
  • A relevant diploma or tertiary qualification is required along with broad experience as a HSWE specialist/advisor or risk specialist.
  • Experience operating in Agile CoEs or contributing to their success.
  • Strong leadership, people management, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are required.
