Pacific Maritime Training Services Job Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Educator to join our team at TAFE Queensland. As a TAFE Teacher in PMTS, you will have the opportunity to share your extensive industry knowledge and experience with students using various delivery methods.

  • Influence the careers of future industry professionals by sharing your expertise in a classroom or educational setting.
  • Deliver training and assessment programs in the maritime faculty at TAFE Queensland's Cairns Campus.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed.
  • A minimum of 5 years Maritime Industry experience as a Chief Engineer or Second Engineer within the last 5 years.
  • Possession of one of the following training and assessment credentials: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or Diploma of Vocational Education and Training.
  • Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided.
  • Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided.
  • Evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of vocational training, learning, and assessment including competency-based training and assessment.
