Our organization seeks a Safety Specialist to ensure the safe development and testing of complex systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform thorough risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
  • Lead investigations into incidents, including root cause analysis and corrective action development
  • Develop and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, including OSHA, NFPA, and NIOSH guidelines
  • Partner with leadership to complete job hazard assessments and implement safety policies and procedures
  • Implement and develop safety programs, including hazardous materials management and environmental compliance

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science or occupational health and safety
  • 5+ years of experience in environmental, health, and safety disciplines

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrated ability to research and apply best practices in environmental and occupational health
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to safety and environment
