About the Role
AECOM is seeking a highly experienced Lead Hydraulics Professional to join their Melbourne Buildings & Places team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading hydraulic projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineers, and mentoring junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the hydraulic lead on projects, collaborating with engineers on major projects and developing junior engineers within the business.
- Sign off on designs and calculations, and assign tasks to junior engineers.
- Use your technical knowledge and experience to provide cost-effective solutions to clients on various projects.
- Deliver projects and manage client relationships, consulting with stakeholders on key project drivers to determine the best hydraulic solutions.
- Support the national hydraulic team on various projects, gaining exposure to working with senior engineers and enhancing your skill set and technical knowledge.
Requirements
- Ideal experience of 10+ years, preferably in a consulting environment, with exposure to Australian standards and codes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
- Relevant qualifications, such as a TAFE qualification or engineering degree, alongside RPEQ.
- Full working knowledge of the MS Office suite, with exposure to relevant industry software, such as Revit.
- Australian citizenship or the ability to obtain it is highly preferred.
