About the Role

Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia is a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment. Our Canberra branch has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated sales professional to join the team as a Customer Support Representative in our Southern Region.

This role involves selling market leading products and services across the Hitachi range through business development and account management. Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling customer relationships to maintain high levels of service delivery
  • Promoting and generating parts and service sales streams to increase revenue
  • Undertaking machine inspections with attention to detail
  • Developing presentations and negotiating with new prospects
  • Liaising with current and potential customers, reporting activity and sales performance
  • Providing personable and professional service with strong communication skills

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in sales or parts interpretation within the Mining, Construction or Earthmoving industry
  • Commitment to delivering Total Customer Satisfaction and developing positive customer relationships
  • Motivation and ambition to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Strategic and analytical capability to assess value and use CRM effectively
  • Confident, courteous and professional communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and have a current driver's license
