Job Title: Supply Chain Manager

This is a permanent full-time role working 5 days a week (76 hours per fortnight). The position offers free parking on site.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated individual to manage theatre supplies, ensuring the quality of care for our patients. The key responsibilities include conducting regular stock counts and reordering supplies to maintain optimal levels, as well as monitoring and adjusting minimum and maximum stock levels in response to usage fluctuations.

Effective communication with team members and PeriOp staff is crucial in addressing any stock-related issues that may impact patient care. Safety is paramount in this role, and you will be expected to apply manual handling policy and procedures for all lifting, pushing, and pulling processes to ensure personal and team safety.

About Us:

We are a 60 bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 3 operating theatres located on the Redcliffe Peninsula. Our specialties include orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology and internal medicine. We also offer leading rehabilitation services and programs on the Brisbane northside.

We are committed to growing our PeriOp department to include 4 theatres and 2 procedure rooms. This expansion will enable us to provide enhanced patient care and improve our services.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or stores environment, preferably within a healthcare environment
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
  • Physical capability to handle manual tasks and lift items as required
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail
