Job Title: Occupational Health and Safety Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. As an OHSS, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical advice on Hazardous Materials and Occupational Hygiene issues.
  • Conducting Asbestos/Hazmat Surveys and removal.
  • Asbestos airborne fibre monitoring & fibre counting.
  • Asbestos Bulk Sample Identification.
  • Preparation of Technical Reports.
  • Regional travel will be required.

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Science or a related field is advantageous, but not essential.
  • Hazmat industry experience or exposure through study.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Australian Citizenship or rights to work in Australia.
  • A keen interest in OHHM and a drive to continue ongoing learning and development where support will be provided to aid progression.
  • Experienced applicants will be considered, but will be expected to be a current Licensed Asbestos Assessor.
