**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Health and Safety Professional to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing coaching, mentoring and leadership in Health and Safety execution.

The primary objective of this position is to implement and assure the Safety Management System, manage incidents, contractors and deliver HS improvement plans.

You will serve as a key point of contact for Frontline Leaders on field-related HS matters, offering advice and coaching to help establish their site safety leadership capability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coaching field supervisors on SMS implementation
  • Coaching field supervisors on Santos Health and Safety systems
  • Coaching field supervisors on Health and Safety Assurance activities
  • Advising on contractor management, including pre and post mobilisation verifications
  • Participating in site discussions on planning, preparation and managing risk of high risk tasks
  • Collecting and communicating incident factual data for escalation and reporting
  • Leading investigations using the Santos 5 why process or Taproot
  • Supporting frontline leaders in the rollout of Santos Health and Safety initiatives
  • Participating in emergency response activities in the field
  • Implementing and supporting COVID 19 controls and case management procedures

**Requirements:**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in health and safety within oil and gas or similar industries, construction and mining
  • Experience working within Production Facilities, Gas Field Construction or Drilling and Completions experience
  • Lead Auditor training
  • Investigation training (Taproot preferred)
  • Experience with Behavioural Based Safety Programs
