Youth Residential Care Specialist

Berry Street's Residential Care Program is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Residential Care Worker to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people aged 10 to 17 who have experienced trauma, neglect, and abuse.
Key Responsibilities:- Work collaboratively with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality therapeutic care and support to young people.
- Implement current best practice therapeutic interventions and program guidelines to ensure the highest standard of care and child safety.
- Provide a positive role model and support young people in their educational, social, and recreational pursuits while fostering independence.
- Manage household duties and provide nutritious meals to create a safe and nurturing home environment.
- A minimum Cert IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or equivalent qualification is required.
- Strong communication skills, active listening, and a commitment to maintaining professional boundaries.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to multitask with ease.
- A driver's license (minimum green P's) is essential for transporting young people.
