About This RoleThis Theatre Technician position involves working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth operation of our theatres. You will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of surgical specialties and develop your skills as a theatre technician.
Your primary responsibilities include assisting with surgical procedures, maintaining theatre equipment, and ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our operating theatres. You will also be responsible for preparing patients and equipment for surgeries, as well as assisting with patient transport and transfers between departments.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist Surgeons and Nursing Staff with Surgical Procedures
- Maintain Cleanliness and Safety of Operating Theatres
- Prepare Patients and Equipment for Surgeries
- Assist with Patient Transport and Transfers
- Qualifications: Completed Recognised Course as a Theatre Technician
- Experience: Recent Perioperative Experience in Clinical Setting
- Certifications: National Criminal History Check and Working with Children Check
- Skills: Ability to Work Independently and as Part of Team; Strong Communication Skills
- Frequent Standing and Use of Upper Limbs
- Occasional Heavy Lifting and Manual Handling
- Reaching, Twisting, Bending, and Kneeling as Part of Perioperative Tasks
