Job Opportunity: HSE Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE specialist to join our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all safety indicators and provide timely reports to management.
  • Collaborate with management to improve the implementation of workplace health and safety standards.
  • Maintain records of WHS inspections, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and other related activities.
  • Perform safety audits and inspect facilities, equipment, and personal protective equipment to identify and correct potential hazards.
  • Guide supervisors and managers in conducting HSE investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist People Management with return-to-work activities and provide safety advice on regulatory compliance.
  • Offer technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring on safety initiatives and necessary changes.
  • Ensure maintenance of safety inventory, including supplies and equipment.
  • Provide safety recommendations and promote accountability for safety within the team.

Requirements:

  • A diploma or certificate IV in WHS is required.
  • First aid and CPR training is essential.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience working in a similar role within the construction industry is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Ability to conduct meetings and presentations with internal teams and clients.
  • Strong administration and computer systems skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated passion for safety is crucial.
