About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to lead our site's compliance initiatives, quality and food safety standards, and the Quality Assurance Team. As a key member of the Site Management Team, you will ensure safe, efficient, and profitable operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement the site Quality and Food Safety Strategy to support delivery of the broader business objectives and goals.
  • Maintain and monitor Quality Assurance objectives and activities supporting and complementary to RPFC's corporate business plan and policies.
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and enhance the Quality Assurance System and documentation.
  • Lead execution, design, implementation, improvement, and management of the site's hygiene, sanitation, and GMP Programs.
  • Liaise with customers, auditors, and external parties as required.
  • Lead the site Quality Team, providing training, direction, support, and resources to enable completion of their duties and correctly implement the Quality system.
  • Ensure safe work procedures and responsibility for the OH&S of employees reporting to this position.
  • Investigate and respond to customer complaints.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in food science, Food Technology, or an equivalent or related discipline.
  • Passion for driving change along with tenacity through the journey.
  • Demonstrated people management skills and key stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral), high-level interpersonal skills, and sound judgment.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including interpersonal skills, ability to influence, negotiate, resolve conflict, and stakeholder management.
  • Experience in leading a food manufacturing site towards quality improvement.
  • Prior experience in leading audit preparation, maintenance, and improvement initiatives.
  • Systems improvement expertise and experience.
  • Demonstrated excellent time management skills, including ability to effectively manage competing workload priorities with tight timeframes.
  • Demonstrated advanced skills with MS Office products, in particular Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Mindset for driving change through education, coaching, guiding, and influencing.
  • Extensive knowledge of quality systems and documentation.
  • Experience and competency in using Problem-solving Tools.
Experience
  • 5 years + experience in a similar role in quality in Food FMCG industry.
  • Experience in various Q & FS systems and standards such as: HACCP, SQF, customer standards, and regulatory requirements as well as the associated documentation compliance.
