Key Responsibilities:

Critical Environment Specialist

This role is part of the Microsoft Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) team. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining critical infrastructure that keeps our Datacenters up and running. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating with vendors and management to address operational, risk and safety situations;
  • Mentoring other technicians and having a hands-on understanding of critical environment equipment;
  • Performing various types of maintenance, responding to onsite incidents and using telemetry to monitor equipment performance;
  • Utilizing internal computerized maintenance management systems to track equipment assets and complete work order requests.

We are looking for highly skilled individuals who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to delivering core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and Microsoft Azure.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, candidates should have:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent AND 3+ years of experience in mission-critical services or applied learning environments;
  • OR equivalent experience with at least 1 year in a specialized area such as mechanical, electrical or controls field.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
