Village Response Attendant Job Description

The Village Response Attendant plays a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being and safety of residents in our retirement village. The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to resident inquiries, overseeing community facilities, conducting welfare checks, and referring residents to home care providers as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responding to Resident Enquiries: Provide timely and effective responses to resident queries, addressing their concerns and needs with empathy and professionalism.
  • Overseeing Community Facilities: Ensure that community facilities are clean, well-maintained, and available for use by residents.
  • Conducting Welfare Checks: Regularly visit residents in their homes to check on their well-being and provide support as required.
  • Referring Residents to Home Care Providers: Connect residents with suitable home care services to meet their individual needs.
  • Assisting with Events: Support events and activities organized for residents, ensuring their comfort and enjoyment.
  • Responding to Call Outs and Initiating Emergency Services: Respond promptly to emergencies and initiate emergency services as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Current First Aid Certificate: Possess a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain one.
  • Critical Decision Making: Demonstrate the ability to make critical decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Motivation, Initiative, and Adaptability: Exhibit motivation, initiative, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer Skills: Possess basic computer skills, preferably with proficiency in software applications relevant to the role.
Benefits:

This is a casual role offering a mix of daytime shifts and sleepover shifts. Additional assistance may be required for leave coverage. In return, we offer an hourly rate and opportunities for career progression.
