About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foster & Kinship Care Coordinator to lead our team in Rockhampton. As a key member of our organization, you will provide leadership and direction for strong service delivery, ensuring that all program functions are undertaken at a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of staff to ensure high-quality carer recruitment, assessment, support, and monitoring.
  • Ensure children's placements meet licensing requirements and standards of care.
  • Contribute to on-call support for carers via a rotational roster.
  • Build and maintain close liaison with stakeholders to foster effective working relationships.
  • Advise and guide program staff on understanding children and young people's needs based on trauma, grief, and loss, attachment, and child development.
Requirements
  • Diploma-level qualifications in social or behavioural science, social work, or psychology (or related discipline).
  • 5 years' experience leading a team in a similar role.
