About the Role

The Vocational Support Specialist will play a critical role in supporting young people with mental illness to achieve their educational and employment goals.

Working as part of an integrated team, the successful candidate will provide vocational assistance to support young people aged 12-25 years to overcome barriers to employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implementing the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) program to improve employment outcomes for young people with mental illness
  • Providing advanced assessment and planning skills to identify vocational goals and develop tailored plans
  • Collaborating with other team members to enhance the likelihood of vocational engagement for participants
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Advanced assessment and planning skills to support young people with complex needs
  • A strong understanding of vocational interventions that enhance employability
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with young people, families, and colleagues
Work Environment
