Nursing and Midwifery Director

Permanent Full-time opportunity to provide governance, oversight and advanced leadership to collaboratively co-design, implement and evaluate the Ngarrama Redcliffe Midwifery Group Practice Model of Care project. This role will unite the Ngarrama teams under a shared goal and vision and embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait ways of knowing, being and doing whilst improving maternal and infant outcomes as outlined by the Queensland Office of the Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer (OCNMwO) - Growing Deadly Families and Metro North Health Services.
About You
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses, and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) (2015) – Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 11 and the Queensland Health and Metro North Health's commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
Facilitate practice of self and others is in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
Undertake, and participate in ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational goals.
Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to identify and prioritise needs accessing both material and human resources through effective negotiation and communication to achieve cost effective consumer/person centred service delivery including Business Planning Framework (BPF) application.
