About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Laboratory Technician. This role will play a vital part in our Cytogenetics Department, where you will be responsible for processing specimens using cytogenetic, microarray and FISH techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory tasks as required, including sample preparation, equipment operation and maintenance of quality control records.
- Work effectively within a team environment to ensure efficient laboratory operations.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory procedures and results.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- A diploma of applied science or equivalent qualification is required.
- Strong motivation and attention to detail are essential qualities for this role.
- Laboratory experience in Cytogenetics or another diagnostic laboratory is advantageous but not essential.
