Safety and Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety and Compliance Specialist to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Build and Maintain Partnerships
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
Conduct Toolbox MeetingsHost and attend toolbox meetings to provide guidance and instruction on safety matters, ensuring that all employees are aware of their responsibilities and the importance of a safe working environment.
Develop and Implement Risk Management ProgramsCollaborate with the management team to develop and implement risk management programs that empower employees to report and address workplace health and safety issues.
Lead Incident InvestigationsLead and assist in incident investigations, return-to-work programs, and injury management issues to ensure that all incidents are thoroughly investigated and addressed.
Monitor and Report on ComplianceComplete, monitor, and report on actions from audits, inspections, incident investigations, reports, risk registers, and other relevant documents to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Analyze and Investigate TrendsUndertake reporting, analysis, and investigation of trends and performance in workplace health and safety, workers' compensation, and injury management.
Undertake Audits and Special ProjectsConduct audits and special projects as required to ensure that our organization is meeting its health and safety obligations.
Promote a Positive Work EnvironmentPromote a positive work environment that is free from discrimination, harassment, and bullying, and that values the health and well-being of all employees.
Requirements- Relevant Qualifications
A minimum of a Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
ExperienceProven experience in a safety and compliance role, with a strong background in moderate to high-risk work activities.
Skills and AbilitiesStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
