Molecular Screening Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Technician to support our Molecular Screening Program. In this role, you will play a critical part in assisting high-throughput molecular screening.
Key ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for performing laboratory tasks, including operating automation systems, preparing documentation, managing consumables, and processing inbound/outbound shipments.
Your primary place of work will be at our site, with occasional visits to another location as required.
To be successful in this role, you will require a minimum certificate or diploma in laboratory technology or relevant laboratory experience.
Desirable Qualifications- Experience in an automated laboratory environment
- Molecular Biology laboratory expertise
- Familiarity with cobas 5800/6800, cobas p512, Hamilton Star liquid handler operation
- Skills in receiving and processing laboratory specimens
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Laboratory equipment maintenance knowledge
- Familiarity with laboratory information management systems or computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Organized, thorough, and considered approach
- Able to work autonomously and make informed decisions
- Troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
