About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Information Security Specialist to join our team at FCM Travel. As a key member of our security operations team, you will play a crucial role in identifying and managing business risks in support of our growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in complex and challenging projects to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information assets.
  • Facilitate vulnerability assessments and penetration testing engagements undertaken by third-party specialists, and coordinate reporting and remediation activities.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure that operational tasks align to policy and security best practice.
  • Continual improvement and optimisation of BAU security tasks which could include automation and scripting.
  • Respond to information security requests and questions from internal business units, and offer advice in alignment with organisational policies and risk management.
  • Advise, review, and approve security-related change requests, while being a member of the change advisory board.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years in an Information Technology role with at least 5 years in a security role.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience.
  • Sound operational knowledge and experience with using security technologies and controls which include Firewalls, SIEM, EDR, Proxy, WAF, Identity & Access Management, Vulnerability Management, penetration testing, IDS/IDP and PKI.
  • An understanding of relevant industry standards and guidelines including ISO, PCI-DSS and the Australian Privacy Act.
