About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Information Management Specialist to join our team at The State Of Queensland. As a key member of our Digital Capability Office, you will play a critical role in building capability, managing strategic risks, and implementing our digital strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Information Management and Governance: Develop and communicate information management and governance materials, provide advice on information security management implementations, and refine and establish investment governance and digital assurance principles and practices.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Coordinate compliance and reporting activities with business areas across the department, including assessing our information security management system documentation.
  • Architecture Standards: Assist in the development and maintenance of architecture standards.
  • Strategic Information Management Planning: Contribute to strategic information management planning within the department.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with departmental staff, including IT Account Managers and Project Managers, as well as Partner Agencies, on issues relevant to information management.
  • Advice and Guidance: Provide authoritative, timely, and professional advice on information management and directions to executives and business areas.
  • Research and Analysis: Undertake research and analyze and interpret current and emerging issues related to information management, policies, and strategies.
  • Representation: Represent the department at meetings and forums.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Information Management Specialist who can demonstrate a strong understanding of information management and governance principles and practices. A qualification in information and data management and governance would be highly regarded.
