Firesoft People is a leading provider of innovative technology solutions for the financial industry. We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our Sydney-based team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented QA Automation Engineer to design and develop automation scripts, execute all levels of testing, and collaborate closely with other team members and departments. The ideal candidate will have experience in testing APIs, Microservices, Web services, and Web pages, as well as proficiency in Selenium Framework, JMeter, and other relevant tools.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse user stories and use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility.
  • Collaborate closely with other team members and departments.
  • Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression).
  • Design and develop automation scripts.
  • Apply engineering principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle.
  • Develop and execute maintainable test cases and regression test suites from analysis of user stories and process maps.
  • Provide advice on aspects of test planning, design, and execution.
  • Liaise with the delivery engineering team to correctly interpret what is required of the testing process and provide advice and communicate testing outcomes.
  • Manage and monitor the progress of allocated testing tasks and deliverables and advise/escalate issues.

Requirements

  • Fluent or native Mandarin speaker.
  • 1+ years of experience in Forex trading industry with a good understanding of trading basics and MT4/MT5.
  • 2+ years of experience as a QA Software Engineer.
  • Experience in testing APIs, Microservices, Web services, and Web pages.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with demonstrable experience driving issues to resolution.
  • Experience working closely with developers, product and delivery managers, and other stakeholders.
  • A desire to be involved in all aspects of product development from inception through planning, design, implementation, and delivery.
  • The ability to engage with software engineers to embed quality in all stages of development.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills - asking good questions, challenging assumptions, and challenging existing ideas and viewpoints.
  • Test automation with knowledge in Java, Python.
  • Proficiency in Selenium Framework, JMeter, etc.
  • Experience in Agile environment and comfortable with fast-paced delivery process.
