Job Opportunity: QA Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our Sydney based team. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our trading technology platforms.

Your Responsibilities
  • Analyse user stories and use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility, ensuring that our technology platforms meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate closely with other team members and departments, including development, product, and delivery teams, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of our technology platforms.
  • Execute all levels of testing, including System, Integration, and Regression testing, to identify and resolve defects and ensure that our technology platforms are stable and reliable.
  • Design and develop automation scripts using Java, Python, and other relevant technologies, to streamline our testing processes and improve efficiency.
  • Apply engineering principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle, ensuring that our technology platforms are designed and developed with quality and reliability in mind.
  • Develop and execute maintainable test cases and regression test suites from analysis of user stories and process maps, to ensure that our technology platforms are thoroughly tested and validated.
  • Provide advice on aspects of test planning, design, and execution, to ensure that our testing processes are effective and efficient.
  • Liaise with the delivery engineering team to correctly interpret what is required of the testing process and provide advice and communicate testing outcomes.
  • Manage and monitor the progress of allocated testing tasks and deliverables, and advise/escalate issues to ensure that our technology platforms are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.
About You
  • Fluent or native Mandarin speaker, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • 1+ years of experience in the Forex trading industry, with a good understanding of trading basics and MT4/MT5.
  • 2+ years of experience as a QA Software Engineer, with a strong background in testing APIs, Microservices, Web services, and Web pages.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with demonstrable experience driving issues to resolution, and a strong ability to work closely with developers, product and delivery managers, and other stakeholders.
  • A desire to be involved in all aspects of product development from inception through planning, design, implementation, and delivery, and the ability to engage with software engineers to embed quality in all stages of development.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to ask good questions, challenge assumptions, and challenge existing ideas and viewpoints.
  • Test automation experience with knowledge in Java, Python, and proficiency in Selenium Framework, JMeter, etc.
  • Experience in Agile environment and comfortable with fast-paced delivery process.
