Job Title: Skilled Driver Labourer

As a skilled driver labourer, you will be an integral part of our infrastructure maintenance team. The purpose of this role is to perform various manual tasks to achieve a high standard of maintenance of roads, footpaths, stormwater drainage systems, signs and street furniture within the municipality.

  • Coordinate and perform infrastructure maintenance tasks on site
  • Maintain roads, footpaths, storm water drainage system, street signs and street furniture
  • Work cooperatively with team members and members of the public, escalating enquiries and problems as they emerge
  • Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting, digging, raking, sweeping and the use of mechanical tools
  • Correctly use and maintain plant and equipment provided, including personal protective equipment
  • Operate vehicle and tow plant in a safe, competent and responsible manner
Key Responsibilities:

This role involves performing various tasks to achieve a high standard of maintenance. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and performing infrastructure maintenance tasks on site
  • Maintaining roads, footpaths, storm water drainage system, street signs and street furniture
  • Working cooperatively with team members and members of the public
  • Escalating enquiries and problems as they emerge
  • Performing manual handling tasks
  • Operating vehicles and towing plant safely and responsibly
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Previous experience in infrastructure maintenance, especially in the areas of roads, footpaths, paving, stormwater drainage systems, street signs and street furniture
  • Experience safely operating and maintaining mechanical tools, small plant and equipment, and performing manual handling tasks
  • Communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Medium Rigid Truck Licence Endorsement

  • Current Spotters Ticket and Traffic Control training
  • Current Traffic Control Ticket
Benefits:

This is a permanent full-time position with a salary of $78,809.18 per annum + 12% superannuation. You will be based at our Tooronga Depot, which is located next to Tooronga Train station and walking distance to Tooronga Village Shopping Centre.
