Transformative Building Services Specialist

To establish and manage reactive maintenance, maintenance programmes and capital works for building infrastructure at a range of Council's aquatic, recreational and community facilities to ensure optimal performance of Council's assets and business operations.

A skilled professional is sought by the Council to join its team as a transformative building services specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the maintenance, upkeep, and development of various building structures across the Council's many facilities. Your expertise in building services will play a crucial part in ensuring that all buildings are well-maintained, efficient, and meet safety standards.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in technical or trade-related fields, such as engineering, project management, or a similar discipline. You should also have extensive experience in building services, particularly in the areas of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and BMS systems. Familiarity with state-of-the-art technologies like ESD at aquatic centers and building automation systems in complex facilities would be advantageous.

You will need excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers, contractors, and colleagues. Time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential to meeting deadlines and resolving issues promptly. Additionally, you must be able to make sound decisions quickly, especially in urgent situations.
