Transformation Lawyer

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join our team as a Transformation Lawyer. As a key member of our legal team, you will be responsible for reviewing and amending existing legal precedents, drafting new ones, and standardising them into our case management system.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and amend existing legal precedents to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Draft new legal precedents that are clear, concise, and compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Standardise and migrate precedents into our new case management system, ensuring content accuracy and legal compliance.
  • Work with stakeholders to build a consistent, high-quality, precedent library that meets our business needs.
  • Lead and coordinate a precedent update program, including audit, review, redesign, and stakeholder consultation phases.
  • Manage metadata tagging, structuring, and quality checks during migration of precedents.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to identify document needs, fill content gaps, and validate updated versions.
  • Track legislative, regulatory, and procedural changes and update affected precedents accordingly.
  • Work with legal tech and knowledge management teams to optimise precedents for automation platforms.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on accessing and using the updated precedent library.
  • Maintain version control, document integrity, and record-keeping protocols.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary and Postgraduate qualifications in Law.
  • Current Practising Certificate.
  • Strong knowledge of legal processes and legal document drafting.
  • Excellent computer literacy and understanding of the role of technology in practice.
  • Strong internal stakeholder relationship management.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy.
