We are seeking a dedicated and experienced English Leader to design and improve our English Courses.

English Course Leadership

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for owning the end-to-end design and continuous improvement of our English Courses. This includes leading the creation of high-impact teaching and learning materials, using student performance data and teacher insights to iterate and improve course offerings, and promoting a culture of reflective practice and collaborative professional learning across the teaching team.

This is an opportunity for an experienced academic or educator to take their career to the next level through leading a faculty and contributing towards developing courses. As an English Leader, you will have a minimum load each term to stay connected to the classroom experience and role model best-in-class teaching.

You will be responsible for:

  • Designing and continuously improving our English Courses for NESA and matrix standards.
  • Leading the creation of high-impact teaching and learning materials including theory books, homework, assessments, and digital content.
  • Using student performance data, teacher insights, and parent feedback to iterate and improve course offerings.
  • Teaching a minimum load each term to stay connected to the classroom experience and role model best-in-class teaching.
  • Promoting a culture of reflective practice and collaborative professional learning across the teaching team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years' of experience in management of educational course design and staff or a project management role.
  • Extensive classroom teaching experience in English, Literature or Communications.
  • Extensive knowledge of the current stage 4-6 NESA English curriculum, including methods of assessment.
  • Proven success in learning program design and learning resource development.
  • Experience leading educators and fostering teaching excellence.
  • Ability to use student data and feedback to drive product improvements.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Literature, Journalism, Education or a related field.
