Position: Course Coordinator – Social Work Program

As the Course Coordinator for our new Social Work program, you will oversee course operations and management. Your role involves building strong relationships with staff and students, ensuring policy and procedure adherence, and fostering an environment of growth and excellence through your leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and support new courses and contribute to research initiatives.
  2. Collaborate on external articulation arrangements, moderation processes, and academic benchmarking.
  3. Lead scholarly activities and professional development for Higher Education staff.
  4. Assist in the annual internal audit of Higher Education operations.
  5. Work with the Dean on organizational goals, including marketing, finance, admissions, and alumni relations.
  6. Participate in student and staff orientation and graduation ceremonies.
  7. Engage in program marketing and course promotion activities.
  8. Prepare agendas and reports for various committees.
  9. Contribute to the development and renewal of academic policies and procedures.
  10. Monitor student progress and satisfaction.
  11. Conduct performance reviews of academic staff.
  12. Provide insights on academic resource management.

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Social Work or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of managerial and teaching experience at the degree and/or postgraduate level.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, with an annual allocation of 20 hours.
  • Eligibility to be registered with AASW.
