Financial Portfolio Specialist

The Financial Portfolio Specialist role offers a unique opportunity to join a global leader in property. Based in Brisbane, this position reports to the National Finance Manager and involves managing financial and management reporting for a retail portfolio.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare Monthly Reports: Create comprehensive financial packs, including trial balances, profit/loss commentaries versus budget, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Conduct Accruals Analysis: Ensure accuracy and completeness of income and outgoings accruals.
  • Provide Detailed Commentary: Explain significant variances from budget/forecast on actual income/expenditure.
  • Complete and Review Reconciliations: Finalize balance sheet and outgoings reconciliations for Centre Management Team approval.
  • Support Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist Property and Facilities Managers with budget preparation, forecasting, and support the audit process as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Accounting Experience: Demonstrated experience in accounting, ideally in property/retail.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong time management and organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Customer Focus: Customer service-oriented with a focus on performance outcomes.
