Facilities Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance across a diverse property portfolio. The successful candidate will lead the transition from manual tracking to a more efficient maintenance management system, while fostering strong relationships with contractors and internal teams.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in facilities and asset management, as well as a proven track record in implementing systems or process improvements. They will possess excellent stakeholder management and collaborative leadership skills, be empathetic, positive, and solutions-focused, and have the ability to travel within Queensland and interstate as required.

The role offers a mix of on-the-ground operational work and forward-looking strategic initiatives, making it ideal for a hands-on leader who can also drive change.

The Facilities Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing a diverse property portfolio, including residential and commercial facilities
  • Leading the transition from manual tracking to a more efficient maintenance management system
  • Fostering strong relationships with contractors and internal teams
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent leadership and communication skills. They will be able to build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide guidance and support to team members.
