Opportunity for Experienced Dairy Farmer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced dairy farmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and time management skills, be self-motivated and able to work independently and as a member of a team.

The role involves the management of daily farm operations with minor supervision from farm owners. Key responsibilities include general operation management, pasture management, milk harvesting, feeding management, administrative tasks, and general maintenance.

The position may also require leadership skills in managing a small team or groups and training new members. A full-time position is available, which may involve weekend work and some unplanned hours of work where necessary.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture or higher equivalent
  • At least 3 years recent relevant work experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge in animal husbandry, animal welfare, and legislation, dairy production, and OH&S
  • Knowledge in computer programs/software an advantage
