**Public Art Project Officer Role Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Public Art Project Officer to lead the development and implementation of new public art projects. The successful candidate will oversee the operations of our Public Art Program, build internal and external relationships, facilitate community engagement, and support public art initiatives that inspire and enrich public spaces.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Serve as a key liaison for stakeholders in public art project proposals.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with council teams and community partners.
  • Champion the involvement of artists, encouraging investment and innovation.
  • Deliver and support public art projects, including those involving First Nation's artists.
  • Manage project documentation, including procurement, reporting, and evaluation.
  • Identify and secure grant funding and manage related reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate public art events and facilitate community participation in projects.
  • Provide guidance on the care and management of outdoor art collections.

**Requirements and Qualifications:**

To be successful in this role, you will have extensive knowledge and experience in the arts and cultural industries.

  • Proven project management skills, with a strong track record of managing public art projects.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience developing project management tools and facilitating networks.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications with experience or substantial relevant professional experience.
  • Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
