About this role:

We're seeking a trainee to join our host employer's team in Derimut, VIC. As a trainee, you'll earn while you learn and gain practical skills in timber frame and truss manufacturing.

This is a hands-on traineeship where you'll work towards a nationally recognised qualification Certificate III in Timber Frame and Truss Manufacture (FWP30920). You'll be part of a close-knit team building the foundation for homes across the region.

Key tasks and responsibilities:
  • Assist in manufacturing timber house frames, wall frames, and roof trusses
  • Safely operate saws, hand tools, and timber machinery
  • Load and process timber for machining
  • Read and interpret house/building plans
  • Accurately measure and cut timber to profile
  • Perform quality checks and manage timber waste
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment
