Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Coronary Care Unit. As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, as well as a passion for delivering evidence-based nursing care. They will also possess strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team.

Key responsibilities include delivering evidence-based nursing care, liaising with the multidisciplinary team, ensuring patient and staff safety, supervising and directing nursing team members, and providing education and support to individuals/patients for managing their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Coronary Care or ICU (or working towards) highly desirable
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

You will be supported by the Nurse Unit Manager, dedicated Staff Development Nurse, Clinical Nurse Specialist, and a highly experienced team of Clinical and Registered nurses with many years of experience in the specialty.

Our 41-bed Coronary Care Unit is a busy unit with many high-end interventional cardiac procedures performed regularly. We routinely see procedures such as PCI, cardiac device insertion, LAAO, ablation, pre-op CABG, cardioversion, TOE, and TAVI.
