We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ICT Infrastructure Project Manager to join our team at Hays Recruitment.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing critical ICT infrastructure projects with multiple stakeholders involved from infrastructure and business aspects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver projects that may have an agency-wide impact, developing, implementing, and evaluating project plans and schedules in accordance with the agency's project management framework.
  • Collaborate with staff in the immediate work area and with internal and external stakeholders to oversee project design, governance arrangements, and operational integration.
  • Lead and manage staff, overseeing performance, attendance, and health and wellbeing, and develop staff capability through coaching and succession planning.
  • Research, review, and evaluate projects within a section or specialist area, reporting on project objectives and outputs for presentation to the executive.
  • Manage and monitor financial budgets and oversee the management of contracts, procurement, resources, and expenditure.
  • Identify, assess, manage, escalate, report, and monitor project risks, issues, and benefits, including developing treatment strategies and analyzing project performance.
  • Represent and negotiate on behalf of the agency to advance the agency's interests in external, cross-agency, inter-jurisdictional, and other forums.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in managing critical ICT infrastructure projects with multiple stakeholders involved from infrastructure and business aspects.
  • Experience in working with large organizations, preferably in government departments.
  • Ability to work under pressure against short timescales.
  • Proven track record in leading technical teams and managing cross-disciplinary technical programs.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and ability to collaborate and communicate effectively.
  • Familiarity with AGILE methodology and project tracking.
