About the Role

FinXL is seeking an experienced ICT Infrastructure Project Manager to lead and deliver strategic projects that drive business outcomes and support the agency's goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Develop, implement, and evaluate project plans and schedules in accordance with the agency's project management framework, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior staff, to drive project implementation and integration at the operational level.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage staff, overseeing performance, attendance, and health and well-being, and develop staff capability through coaching and succession planning.
  • Financial Management: Manage and monitor financial budgets, oversee contract management, procurement, resources, and expenditure, and identify, assess, manage, escalate, report, and monitor project risks, issues, and benefits.
  • Change Management: Manage and lead change, actively contributing to and implementing the agency's strategic direction, and engage, negotiate, and manage key strategic stakeholder relationships.
  • Representation: Represent and negotiate on behalf of the agency to advance its interests at external, cross-agency, inter-jurisdictional, and other forums.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in managing critical ICT Infrastructure projects with multiple stakeholders involved from Infrastructure and Business aspects.
  • Experience working with large organisations (preferably in government departments).
  • Ability to work under pressure against short timescales.
  • Proven track record in leading technical teams and managing cross-disciplinary technical programs.
  • Experience tracking a complex ICT project and providing support to clear blocking issues.
  • Familiarity with AGILE methodology and project tracking.
