About the Role

Infinite Consulting is seeking an experienced ICT Senior Project Manager to lead our esteemed Federal Government Client project. This is a long-term contract with an initial duration of 12 months, with 2x12 months option to extend, based on funding and approval.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Oversee the purpose and status of the project, ensuring all project goals and timeframes are met.
  • Project Management: Support the agency by overseeing and ensuring the high-quality and consistent delivery of projects.
  • Project Design and Planning: Develop, implement, and evaluate project plans and schedules in accordance with the agency's project management framework and consider project interdependencies.
  • Project Governance and Integration: Oversee project design, governance arrangements, and operational integration, ensuring project deliverables and milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Financial Management: Manage and monitor financial budgets and oversee the management of contracts, procurement, resources, and expenditure.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Identify, assess, manage, escalate, report, and monitor project risks, issues, and benefits.
  • Change Management: Manage and lead change, and actively contribute to and implement the agency's strategic direction.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage, negotiate, and manage key strategic stakeholder relationships to deliver projects and respond to changes in needs and expectations.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in managing critical ICT Infrastructure projects with multiple stakeholders involved from Infrastructure and Business aspects.
  • Experience in working with large organizations (preferably in government departments).
  • Ability to work under pressure against short timelines.
  • Proven track record in leading technical teams and managing cross-disciplinary technical programs, from project definition to product delivery/demonstration.
  • Experience tracking a complex ICT project and providing support to clear blocking issues.
  • Familiarity with AGILE methodology and project tracking.
