Aboriginal Health Specialist

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a dedicated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner to join our team in providing culturally appropriate care and support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families during the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods.
Key Responsibilities- Provide holistic, family-centred care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families
- Work closely with midwives, obstetricians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver culturally sensitive care
- Develop and implement culturally appropriate health education programs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families
- Collaborate with community organizations and healthcare providers to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice Maternal and Infant Care
- Registration with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practice Board of Australia
- Strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
