Aboriginal Health Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner to join our team at the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing culturally appropriate care and support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families during the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods.
Key Responsibilities- Provide holistic, family-centred care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families
- Work closely with midwives, obstetricians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care
- Develop and implement culturally sensitive healthcare programs and services
- Collaborate with community leaders and organizations to promote health and wellbeing
- Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice Maternal and Infant Care
- Registration with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practice Board of Australia
- Strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
