Job Overview

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of high-performing engineers in driving the architecture, design, build and governance roadmap across multiple workflow technologies. You will have the opportunity to share your technical expertise and leadership to strengthen the standards of the team that spans across multiple geographies. The team is responsible for designing and implementing solutions for business-driven initiatives and technology uplift as part of Workflow Crew. You will enjoy working in a hybrid agile development environment, running workshops and sprint ceremonies.

Responsibilities:

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in leading high-performing cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with a team of high-performing engineers to build and deploy multiple technology solutions that will help in defining current and future states, as well as the roadmap.
  • Hands-on ability to design and deliver technology solutions that solve complex business and technology problems from start to finish.
  • Demonstrated experience in translating the project vision into actionable plans and iterative delivery.
  • Constructively challenge the status quo while influencing stakeholders at various levels.
  • Influence the future of the Group's technology and direction every day.
Technical Skills:
  • Expertise with API specification, design, registration, and tooling (OpenAPI, AWS Gateway).
  • CI/CD: experience with automated pipelines (GitHub Actions, Artifactory, and GitRepo).
  • DevOps: Familiarity with observability tools (Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, PagerDuty).
  • Language: C#, .NET Core, SOAP/REST APIs, Microservices, containerisation; Node, Python, and scripting knowledge.
  • Artificial Intelligence: knowledge in AI technologies and tooling enhancements.
  • Data engineering: building a data lake with real-time and near real-time services, data transformation, aggregation, and offering through API endpoints.
  • Test Automation: unit/integration/acceptance/performance testing for API.
  • Security: defence in depth, identity management, encryption, and cloud security obligations.
  • Distributed, low latency environments; Databases: PostgreSQL, Oracle, NoSQL (MongoDB).
  • Familiarity in event-driven architectures (Kafka, MQ) and orchestration (Apache Camel, Temporal, Mulesoft).

  • Expert troubleshooting of implementation, environment, and deployment issues.
  • Establish new ways of working and promote DevOps culture of CI/CD pipelines and Automation supported by world-class tools.
  • Have expertise in managing any workflow-based technical environments (preferably Pega, Appian).
  • Expertise to define and effectively communicate a long-term technical vision.
  • Excellent communication skills. Working experience with Agile methodologies.
