
Maintenance Reliability Expert

Our organisation seeks a skilled Reliability Engineer to work within the Maintenance Department at our plant in Townsville, Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing condition monitoring, investigating and executing process and reliability improvements, and providing technical expertise to support maintenance and operational teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have minimum 5 years' experience in mining, heavy industries, or petro-chemical plants and hold a Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical or Electrical preferred or tertiary education in Asset Management / Reliability. Previous experience in Condition Monitoring and lubrication is also required. Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment are essential. Additional qualifications such as C Class Driver's License and VCAT1 certification are desirable but not necessary. We are looking for someone with strong safety culture and work ethic who can manage budgets and schedules effectively and engage with internal stakeholders and outside contractors efficiently.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Managing contractors for statutory inspections
- Conducting root cause analysis on equipment failures
- Providing timely reports and expert advice to key stakeholders on suitable courses of action and monitoring implementation plans
- Developing diagnostic tools to predict equipment failures and minimize the impact on production
