Reliability Engineer Role

This is a residential position based on a 5/2 roster, involving the provision of reliability technical expertise to manage condition monitoring programs, investigate and execute process improvements.

  • Analysis of plant operation and reliability, coordination with maintenance and operations teams for machine optimisation, engagement with external contractors and suppliers, and assistance with forward planning of maintenance and operation strategies.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Coordination and completion of vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography, UT, and other condition monitoring techniques.
  • Managing contractors for third-party crane, pressure equipment, and statutory inspections.
  • Conducting root cause analysis on equipment failures.
  • Providing timely reports and expert advice to stakeholders on suitable courses of action and monitoring implementation plans.
  • Developing diagnostic tools to predict equipment failures and minimize impact on production.
  • Providing technical support to maintenance and operational teams.
  • Ensuring hazards within the maintenance workplace and processing plants are identified and addressed.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in mining, heavy industries, or petro-chemical plants.
  • A Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical or Electrical preferred.
  • Previous experience in condition monitoring and lubrication.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
