Reliability Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to maintain the reliability of our refinery processing team.

About the Role

This is a key position within our Maintenance Department, responsible for providing technical expertise and managing condition monitoring programs.

  • Investigate and execute process and reliability improvements.
  • Coordinate vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography, UT, and other condition monitoring techniques.
  • Manage contractors for crane, pressure equipment, and other statutory inspections.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and provide timely reports to stakeholders.
  • Develop diagnostic tools to predict equipment failures and minimize production impact.
  • Provide technical support to the Maintenance and Operational Teams, leading improvements in lubrication systems.
  • Identify and address hazards within the maintenance workplace and processing plants.
  • Raise notifications for corrective work or inspection in the CMMS (SAP).
  • Coordinate support for QA/QC checks for critical equipment and lead improvements in condition monitoring.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in mining, heavy industries, or petro-chemical plants.
  • Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical or Electrical preferred, or tertiary education in Asset Management / Reliability.
  • Previous experience in Condition Monitoring and lubrication.
  • Good communication skills with ability to work in a team environment.
  • C Class Driver's License.
  • Minimum VCAT1 certification (preferable).
  • Previous use of safety and risk assessment tools such as Job Hazard Analysis and Take 5's etc.
  • Project Management experience will be highly regarded, specifically in managing budgets and schedules.
  • Experience engaging and presenting to internal stakeholders and managing outside contractors.
  • Working within a team environment, demonstrating ability to work autonomously.
  • A strong safety culture and work ethic are fundamental to success in this role.
